Dell makes laptops; perhaps you have heard of them. What you may not know is that they allow you to add custom artwork from cutting-edge artists to the covers of their laptops.

Working in conjunction with Dell and Dialog Studio in Austin, I designed the Information Architecture and user flows for Dell Studio. The new design showcased artists much better than the prior version, and added much better category pages.

One challenge of this project was the fact that there were 2 very different flows: one where a customer adds a cover to a selected laptop, and the other where the the customer chooses a cover first and then chooses a laptop. Because the latter flow was so rare, we ended up abandoning it in the final project.
